MY CHRISTMAS 2008!

My Christmas Tree

My Christmas this year was great. I had lots of fun with my family. In the morning of Christmas's Eve I woke up I helped my mom cleaned the house and I cleaned my room, also I helped my sisters with there room. When everything was all done I helped my mom with the kitchen and food.My mom and I were making the turkey even though we have already ate turkey for Thanks Giving but turkey is the best. When everything was all finished we all showered and got ready.Around six p.m we left the house with our gifts and food.

When we got to my grandmas house because that's where we were celebrating Christmas the whole family was there. I said hello to everyone. When everyone was settled down everyone sat on the table my grandma served the turkey and we ate. It was eleven forty when everyone was finish eating we all got up and we sang Christmas charols and I was holding the baby Jesus because that's what our family tradition do.When we were finish singing we all had to kiss the baby Jesus and we all got a free candy.

It was eleven fifty-five we all went to the living room and sat down in a circle around the Christmas tree.We had our very own Santa that had to give away our Christmas presents to everyone. It was twelve and all the children and parents gave hugs to each other and opened the presents. When everything was all finished we drink hot chocolate and danced all night. It was really fun and I can't wait until Christmas 2009.

Christmas Blog

Christmas is the time of year when families or (familia) gets together celebrate and enjoy the time.On Christmas Eve you can stay up until twelve and waiting to open the presents under the tree.Where people (family) go over to your house and celebrate by bringing food, presents, and drinks. While children are eating bread with milk or hot chocolate. At this time of year people like children go ice skating at the mall or go to the snow at the mountains. While the adults watch their children having fun.

Jessica's Christmas Mexican/American Tradition

Well my family we celebrate way differently than others. On December twelve is the day we sing to the Virgin Mary like around four in the morning.People bring flowers ,Mariachi (as in musicians) to sing to the Virgin Mary.On the same week of Christmas the church I go to has this tradition of having a party everyday until Christmas. That tradition is called (Posadas). On
Christmas Eve while my family is at church celebrating with other families my cousins and I stay at the house and set up the table with food and set the presents under the tree for the little children. While the adults are eating the children and young adults are dancing at the music and some looking at there presents waiting to open them up. By eleven forty-five our family gathers two separate parts boys on the other side and girls on the other side and sing Christmas Carols. One of my little cousins holds the baby Jesus and kisses it on the forehead and get a free candy. At twelve midnight we gather again on the outside the backyard and start handing out presents for everyone of us. When that's over we dance all night until we are tired. That's what my family do for that week before Christmas.

Michelle's Christmas

How my family celebrates Christmas.Well after Thanksgiving we put up the lights around the house. Then we put up the Christmas tree and decorated with adornments that we made and bought. Then when its the week of Christmas you could go to the church party's if you want to. On Christmas Eve my mother and my aunts make tamales and some sandwiches that are huge you can't even finish it. On Christmas Eve most of my family comes to my house and eats to spend time.
